Gov. Doug Burgum welcomes all North Dakotans to this year’s Main Street ND Summit Oct. 24-25 in Watford City, presenting an opportunity to connect, learn, get inspired and gain insight to build and grow communities for the future.

Gov. Doug Burgum issued an executive order convening a special session of the state Legislature on Oct. 23 to address the components of a budget bill that was recently voided as unconstitutional by the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Gov. Doug Burgum released a statement regarding the passing of former North Dakota Lt. Gov. Rosemarie Myrdal, who represented District 11 in the North Dakota House from 1985 to 1992 and served as lieutenant governor from 1993 to 2000 with Gov. Ed Schafer. Myrdal died Wednesday at age 94.

Gov. Doug Burgum announced the retirement of North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCR) Director Dave Krabbenhoft, effective Dec. 31, thanking him for his innovative leadership and his nearly four decades of dedicated service to the State of North Dakota.

Gov. Gov. Doug Burgum and Maj. Gen. Alan Dohrmann, adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard, released the following statements today regarding the deaths of state Sen. Doug Larsen of Mandan, his wife, Amy, and their two young sons, as a result of a plane crash Sunday in Utah. Larsen was a 29-year member of the North Dakota Army National Guard and had served in the state Senate since 2021, representing District 34.
